The NEW Mac Pro Apple Models

The Dazzling Mac Pros now come in two flavors, the original Xeon processor models and the new second generation 2008 "Tower of Power" models that use the Xeon Harpertown 5400 processors. The original models use DDR2-667 FBDIMM and the ToP models require the faster DDR2-800 FBDIMMs. All of these machines use very special Fully Buffered Error Correcting, ECC, Heat Sinked FBDIMM. For all Mac Pro models we offer our Premium HyperVelocity™ ECC FB-DIMM modules. These are exact JEDEC and SPD Mac Pro spec modules and have the Apple Factory Original Equipment Full Fin Heatsinks for superior cooling under ALL operations. These are Heavy T5 Aluminum Extrusions, Not the thermally insignificant stamped sheet metal sinks or spreaders offered by some lower level suppliers. We offer both our Premium HyperVelocity™ modules as well as the traditional Apple Gold Standard Samsung modules for ALL Mac Pro models. Ask anyone who REALLY knows Apple hardware and they will tell you this is the premium memory choice.

Do NOT install anything other than one of the MacPro specific fin cooled FBDIMMs in these highly specialized machines ever! Install a minimum of 4 FBDIMMs in these models to utilize the full 256 bit wide data path. Our exclusive premium certified HyperVelocity™ and Samsung modules deliver the highest possible speed and cooling performance you can get for your MacPro.

Whenever applicable, Mac RAM Direct will spec upgrades in the form of modules capable of faster speeds than originally supplied. Remember, faster RAM is like Premium gasoline where even if your car uses 87 octane Regular, she'll purr like a kitten with the higher octane juice. The same holds true for RAM. Enjoy!
